UNUSED OLD A Concurrent Resolution Concerning the Location of the Olympics

1. Whereas, democracy is the most successful form of government, and
2. Whereas, The United States of America historically supported democratic nations above others,
3. and
4. Whereas, non-democratic nations are supporting an inferior form of government, and
5. Whereas, the Olympics brings about financial success and fame to the host country, and
6. Whereas, The Olympics stands for moral good and the goal for a good work ethic, and
7. Whereas, to financially and otherwise support non-democratic nations is not upholding
8. American or Olympic values.
9. Therefore, be it resolved by the student congress assembled that:
10. Section 1: The Olympics should not be held in a non-democratic nation.
11. Section 2a: If decided otherwise the United States of America will withdraw funding, athletic
12. participation, and any other support from that Olympic event.
13. Section 3: This resolution is both winter and summer Olympic inclusive
14. Section 4: The first action of this Resolution will take place by the next Olympic games, in 2010
