UNUSED OLD A Resolution Concerning Merit-Based Pay for Teachers

1. Whereas, merit-based pay has been used in other industries such as

2. marketing  and law firms, and

3. Whereas, the education system in America needs extra insurance that

4.  all students are achieving the best they could achieve by encouraging

5.  all teachers to do their best, and

6. Whereas,  merit-based pay would encourage all teachers to work their

7. hardest in order to earn bonuses and also to see more of their pupils

8.  excel in studies; therefore,

9. BE  IT RESOLVED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE

10.  ASSEMBLED THAT:

11. The United States Federal Government should offer additional federal

12.  funding to make merit-based pay based on student achievement a

13.  significant component of K-12 teacher compensation in public schools.
